AFM-banner

Like other providers of recreational real estate, Holidaypark ’t Strandheem is required to display a notice stating “You invest outside AFM supervision.” In the Netherlands, it is legally required to have an AFM licence when offering investments. However, this licence is not required if an exemption applies. This exemption applies, for example, to investment properties with a value of more than €100,000.

Why the AFM banner?

The holiday homes that Holiday ’t Strandheem offers as investment properties often fall outside the licensing requirement because they cost more than €100,000. In that case, we are legally required to show this notice in our advertising materials.

More information about the AFM exemption notice can be found here.

What does AFM stand for?

AFM stands for: Autoriteit Financiële Markten (Netherlands Authority for the Financial Markets). The AFM supervises the financial markets, including saving, investing, insurance and lending. The Authority for the Financial Markets ensures that there is confidence in the financial markets and that the market operates in a fair and transparent manner.
